Fridays are just THE best, don’t you think? I work hard all week for that moment on Friday afternoon (somewhere around 1-2pm) when I start to feel the obligations of the work week finally coming to a close and the celebrations of the weekend beginning to open up. Oh blessed Fridays, what would I do without you?!
I’m especially excited this week because Allen is coming to visit me in Maryland and we are headed on a quick weekend trip to Philly (only a 2 hour drive!) We are treating this trip much like others with a few plans here and there (including a trip multiple trips to the weekend market and walking around the historic district) but largely just seeing where each day takes us and what we can find exploring a new city on foot. Now for this fun FRIDAY outfit that I can’t get enough of! I love a good graphic tee, so it only makes sense that I would have one for my favorite day of the week, right?! This tee is actually a J.Crew find from last year, but they have a version this season that says “Summer Fridays” which would be the perfect tee to wear all summer long.
I played up the blue lettering in the graphic tee by pairing it with a matching cobalt blue cardigan. And what goes better with blue than a deep golden yellow pair of cropped pants? I’ve been a little obsessed with the style of these high-rise cropped pants lately. They are just so flattering on any figure (hello slimmer waistline) and bring the comfort of jeans to a classier pair of pants. Needless to say, my collection of them is slowly growing to include every color of the rainbow. (I styled a pink pair here and a white pair here and here.)
I am a HUGE fan of the Everlane cropped pant, but this Madewell version with the cutest front-button detail is quickly taking over my heart. I’ve gotten quite a lot of use out of them this spring already, and can’t wait to pair them with warmer fall colors come September and October.
And what Friday attire would be complete without sneakers that give a node to the weekend right around the corner?!
