Happy Friday, friends! Who else is ready for the weekend?! And shat better way to start that Saturday mindset than with this darling Happy Camper tee?!
Today I’m excited to share with you one of my new favorite graphic tees (with the most perfect Happy Camper phrase) and how I style it for fall!
When I saw this sweatshirt last year, I knew it would be the perfect addition to my camping clothing arsenal. It’s not only warm and cozy (and dark, so won’t show stains from camping), but it’s got the cutest “Happy Camper” phrase on it!
Fast forward to this year when I saw that this favorite graphic was brought back in tshirt form… I just couldn’t resist!
Not only can you wear this darling Happy Camper tee while camping, paired with a warm flannel button up, but you can also wear it with casual wear on the weekend (when you really wish you were out camping!).
Here I’ve paired it with a classic red and black plaid button up to give it that extra fall camping feel. Have you noticed that adding a plaid button up makes just about any outfit feel more outdoorsy? (Like this outfit.)
I’ve been using this trick as much as possible since I haven’t been able to get out to the woods since our last camping trip.
For shoes, I paired it with these Nike Sky Hi kicks (last seen here). I love that they are a “trendy” version of the tennis shoe. Definitely not something I would want to do actual activities in, but perfect for casual days on the weekend or light exploring.
I also added my first pair of ripped jeans to my denim collection this fall. I know, I know! Why would you buy something that is purposely ripped?! (This is why it has taken me so long to invest in a pair!).
But after seeing Hannah style them here and Jess style them here (both for dressy yet casual looks), I started to notice that black ripped denim doesn’t detract from an outfit. Instead it adds personality to the look, making it feel worn-in and well-loved while still being polished. A little ripped detail is almost like adding fringe to a look. With the right amount and placement, it can totally make the outfit.
Ahh…love that falltime sunshine. One of the best things in life. Am I right?
So when I found these stretchy, easy-to-move-in black ripped denim, I knew they were coming home with me. And if you are on the fence about ripped denim, let me recommend this pair that I got because you actually can’t even tell they’re ripped until you bend your knees (see picture below).
To finish the look off, I added my favorite fall accessory —this beautiful wooden watch. It really is the epitome of the outdoors man’s/woman’s watch. And when I first got this watch, this outfit (and variations of it) were actually what immediately came to mind. Although I’ve also style it here for a work look as well.
For the girl (or guy) that loves being outdoors, this watch is the perfect piece.
