Spring Fashion STYLE

Flowy Spring Peplum

Hi, friends! Today I’m sharing one of my favorite purchases of spring–this perfectly drapey cami in the prettiest blush and blue color palette.

When I first saw this cami, I knew it was going to be a fast favorite. The peplum cut is one of my favorites already–there’s just something so fun and flirty about it, don’t you think? But the peplum cut mixed with the flowy shape of this cami in particular makes it that much more perfect.

One of my favorite features about it is how it mimics the subtle swaying of petals in the wind and flows as you walk. It’s seriously one of the prettiest tops I’ve seen! And the colors are subtle and subdued yet beautiful and compliment each other sweetly. Needless to say, it quickly became a favorite of mine this season. And at a $10 price point, why not?!

When deciding what to wear with this perfect cami, I wanted to make sure the outfit felt fresh and bright–just like spring! So I paired my favorite white jeans with a cuff (last seen here)  to the look and layered on a light wash denim jacket to keep me warm in the cool spring breeze.

I talked a bit about it here, but I’ve been really happy with my choice of lighter wash denim jacket. I love that it falls somewhere between the classic wash and the white wash. It seemingly bridges the gap between the two and serves as the perfect middle ground. Just about anything I’d want to wear with a classic wash jacket or a white wash jacket, I can wear with this lighter blue color. It’s easily one of the most versatile pieces in my closet. And the lighter color is perfect for spring, as it brightens just about any outfit you pair it with.

For jewelry, I kept my pieces simple and classic with a little springtime flare. I got this delicate woven bracelet from Loft last year, but I found a similarly adorable bracelet here that would work just as well! And you guys know how much I LOVE my ‘happy’ necklace (last seen herehere and here). I got it from the kids section of J. Crew a while back, but linked an identical version I found on Etsy.

(FYI: The kids section at J. Crew is my secret place to find cute jewelry–sometimes I just can’t resist!) On more than one occasion, I have wished their clothes came in my size. 😛 Case in point–I got this pizza purse and am slightly obsessed with this glittery donut one!

I paired the look with cognac details–these leather mules (last seen here) and my favorite fringe clutch (last seen here). Cognac (and gold for that matter) seem to go with everything in my wardrobe. So I make sure to stock up on such pieces that are versatile and can be worn time and time again. It’s the smart pieces you want to invest in when you’re on a budget, right?
