Hi there, friends! And welcome to the final look of the Spring 10×10 Challenge. Can you believe we made 14 different, unique, and amazing looks from just 10 items in my closet! Crazy! I can’t wait to share with you a compiled list of all the great lessons I learned during this challenge. But first, let’s talk about how crazy in love I am with this all white look that is the perfect get up for spring and summer.
I am always so surprised by how much I love the white-on-white look. It’s just so crisp and clean and bright in a way that even all my crazy colors can’t compete with. And if you need more proof, I don’t think I’ve found anyone who does white-on-white work wear quite as good as Emily does (here, here, here + the chicest coffee run outfit).
At any rate, for my Day 14 look, I went for it and paired this white sweater with a white denim skirt. It was perfectly chic and yet comfortable enough for all the day’s activities, which included a bit of computer work and errand running. Luckily for me, the weather cooperated (stay away rain!) so that I didn’t have to be too paranoid about getting all these pretty whites dirty. (The struggle, am I right?!)
One of my favorite things about an all white look is that it forms the perfect foundation for whatever you want to pair with it. This means your options are just about endless when it comes to making the look your own. Here I decided to pair it with bold stripes and a fun plant-inspired neck scarf. It added the perfect pop of print and color to such a clean look.
P.S. – Since discovering how a scarf can completely make a look, I’ve been all about them! They are a perfect spring/summer accessory when a necklace just won’t do. The trick I’ve found is to make sure to tie it loosely enough around your neck to be comfortable. Plus, the looser fit gives it a carefree, easy-going vibe that’s still super chic. I love that! More style, less effort. (My kind of look. 😉 )
And if you aren’t into high-waisted silhouettes, another way to style this look would be to leave the sweater untucked for a looser, more flowy feel. You could also add a belt around your waist like I did in this look if it doesn’t have enough shape for you!
I also added on a simple gold bracelet for jewelry. If you remember me talking about it here, I discovered a new favorite way to wear this bracelet (completely by accident) which involves the simply styling technique of wearing it on the opposite side of your wrist. In doing so, it forms the prettiest little gold bars on either side of your arm and looks so dreamy. I know it sounds simple, but I actually love it more this way than wearing it traditionally. It also naturally seems to twist this way, so why fight it?!
And that’s the final look of my Spring 10×10 Challenge. What did you think?! Were you surprised by just how many looks we were able to put together? I know I was!
What about you? Would you ever wear a white-on-white look? If you so, would you go the more traditional route for a work look or put together a casual outfit?
