LIFE SERIES The Little Things

The Little Things

This past week was a short one, friends. Between the long Memorial Day weekend and my flex schedule this Friday, we’ve had a 3-day week here at NASA. And while it’s forecasted to rain-rain-rain all weekend long, I’m looking forward to taking it easy (and staying dry) as I explore the Museum District for the first time. I’m planning on spending an entire day each at The Museum of Fine Arts and The Houston Museum of Natural Science. If you’ve got any suggestions for yummy places to eat afterwards, I’d love to hear ’em! Surprisingly (even after living in Texas for 7 years, and working in the Clear Lake area for 6 different semesters…), I haven’t explored much of Houston at all. So I’ve made it a goal of mine this summer to explore and find the best, most fun things to do in Houston during my 11-week work tour. And that starts with the Museum District this weekend!

For those of you who have been checking in periodically to see what I’ve been up to, sorry for the momentary hiatus from posting. I’m still getting the hang of my new work schedule, while also making it a priority to explore the area, hang out with friends, and find time for running. (I’ll let you know how finding time for all these things goes if I manage to 😉 ) At any rate, thanks for sticking around! And I promise there are lots of exciting things in the works for this summer, coming to the blog soon! In the meantime, here are a few of the little things that brightened my week. Have a great weekend, friends!

Cute photos of you and the kiddos! Have you ever tried Canyon Cafe across the street from the Galleria? Ron and I have eaten there a few times and LOVE it! Hope you had a good birthday! Love you.
