Casual Friday: Ruffle Blouse and A Pink Bow

TGIF friends, am I right?! This week I’m taking full advantage of “jeans day” at work, which has become more of the norm as of late. So today I thought I’d share what I like to wear on a casual Friday at the office.

Casual Fridays call for tried and true classics in my opinion. You just can’t beat ’em! Their simplicity and comfortability means you can mix-and-match them with pieces you already own in a variety of ways without needing to reinvent the wheel.

For me, adding in key pieces that will stand the test of time has been a game changer to my weekly wardrobe because I always know I can fall back on them when I’m in a creative rut.

This spring I’ve been really into finding classic pieces that have a modern, feminine twist, like this ruffled blouse. It’s tailored and classic enough for work, but has the cutest ruffle yoke detail and a dotted print that makes it a perfectly updated piece for spring. And who doesn’t love a classic piece that has a bit more personality?!

This Friday, I’m pairing my favorite skinny jeans with this blouse for a look that is polished yet comfy for a day at the office. But I think as springtime approaches, I’ll pair it with a pretty pastel pink skirt next.

Like I mentioned here, although the temperatures are still quite frigid, I’m already in the mood for spring. So adding in little touches of pastel pink, like this cute velvet hair bow or these perfect pointed toe suede flats, is my way of transitioning into the new season. And I love that it doesn’t have to be a full wardrobe re-haul. Just little touches here and there can completely change the feel of an outfit and take it from winter right into spring! (despite the snowy background 🙂 )

For new spring bags this season, I’m really into creamy whites, warm beiges, and pastel blush pinks that come in classic shapes. I snagged this bag from Sole Society earlier this season and it’s the best dupe of the Givenchy bag I’ve ever found. It’s also the perfect carry-all size for spring. But I’m also craving this H&M blush bag for another variation. And how cute is the bow detail on this bag?! Darling!

For a little springtime sparkle, I added my favorite crystal pave bracelet (that I wear with just about every outfit). What can I say? When you find something you love, why bother with anything else? It’s another one of those classic pieces that you can wear in any season, year-after-year.
