SPACE WEEK: What To Expect

When I first started my blog, I wanted it to be a place of inspiration and discovery, both for others and for myself. I wanted to use this space as a creative outlet and as a forum where we could talk about the things we are passionate about. And this sentiment is true still today! Every day I strive to share my style, my life, my passions with others and to in turn to learn from what drives them as well!

As the name suggests (Cupcakes and the Cosmos) one of my passions is space exploration. And while I’ve always wanted to share more about this part of my life as an astronautical engineer, it’s been hard to find the right ways to share this passion with you–ways in which we both can learn and grow from!

After sticking with the Star Gazers Guides for some time, I noticed that they weren’t getting as good of reception as I thought they should. I took a step back to reassess why this was. Looking back at them, I tried to make them as user friendly as possible, even adding in common astronomy terms at the bottom of each post. But I think I was still not providing enough foundation for new astronomers like you to be successful. Because you truly don’t have to be a rocket scientist to explore the cosmos! Anyone can do it, I promise!

This lead to a temporary hiatus of “the Cosmos” portion of my blog as I brainstormed ways in which I could make this passion of my something that everyone could get excited about. And after taking some time to think on the matter, I ultimately decided to create Space Week–a week of nothing but space-themed content! So get ready for nerdy fashion, a look into my work tours at NASA, and lots of fun topics you’ve been dying to know more about!

I’ve tried to schedule something for everyone—there will be posts in fashion, posts in learn/how-to, as well as posts in life recaps. I get that not everyone will be into every single post. If that’s the case for you, go ahead and take a look at what I’ve got scheduled for each day and just come back on those days you want to see! But I’d also highly encourage you to stop by for the Learn posts, as I’ve spent a lot of time compiling all the most recent information into layman terms that anyone can understand! (And you can always ask me follow-on questions in the comments too if I didn’t cover something to your liking!)

So without further ado, here’s what I’ve got planned for you during SPACE WEEK!
