Peaks and Pits of the Week
Peak: Watching the ISS fly across the sky last night (there are people living in space!!!) and seeing my first iridium flare. There’s another bright one happening tonight–see my Star Gazer’s Guide. We actually ended up seeing seven different satellites in the span of about 45 minutes. So it’s probable to see something even if you only have a few minutes. Give it a try! It’s incredible to think about all the satellites we’ve built and launched into Earth orbit.
Pit: So much studying and not nearly enough sleep.
